Migrants & Refugees in Our Common Home is a global initiative led by Villanova University and its partners to mobilize academic communities in addressing the critical challenges faced by migrants and refugees.
Pope Francis' Call to Action
In this video, Pope Francis delivers a powerful message at the RME Network conference on September 29, 2022, urging academic institutions to take action on migration and refugee issues. What we are doing now is our response to that call.
Grounded in collaboration and action, the project focuses on four core pillars:
Education
Integrating migration issues into curricula.
Research
Expanding research agendas and collaborating with community partners to identify research needs, and conduct applied and participatory research.
Service
Creating opportunities for student-migrant interactions to foster understanding.
Advocacy
Advocating for education access and tailored support for migrants and refugees, such as addressing credential transfer issues.
